Kirby Glenn Pierce, son of Glenn Fay and Alice Gertrude “Trudy” (Woolsey) Pierce, was born Oct. 26, 1971, in St. Louis, and departed this life June 12, 2024, at the age of 52 years.

Kirby was a hardworking man that was devoted to his family. He was a talented machinist and worked in the tool and die industry for many years. He was respected for his knowledge and expertise.

When he wasn’t working, Kirby enjoyed hunting, fishing and long motorcycle rides. However, time spent, memories made and laughter shared with his family is what he treasured most. He loved them deeply.

Kirby was preceded in death by parents, Glenn and Trudy; daughter, Heather Tatkenhorst; and son-in-law, Joey Celli.

He is survived by wife, Cindy Simmons; sisters, Melissa Wilkinson and husband Kirt of Arnold, and Paula Mattingly and husband Aaron of Foley, Ala.; children, Crystal Brown of Bland and Jessica Nappier and husband Michael of Sullivan; son-in-law, Noel Tatkenhorst of Cuba; grandchildren, Reese, Joshua, Cole, Danielle, Dominick, Ethan, Joshua, Gage, Contessa, Matt, and Deyinaira and fiancée Wesley; great-grandchildren, Owen, Tucker, Cyrus and one on the way; several nieces and nephews, including Marissa Braun and husband Chris; great nieces and nephews, including Adaline Braun; and other relatives and many friends.

Kirby meant so much to us. He will be terribly missed until we meet again.
