Lindel Kirby Edmondson, 94, of Gerald, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, Oct. 11, 2024.
He was born Oct. 13, 1929, to Kirby Louis and Iva Trenty (Aydotte) Edmondson in Morehouse.
He enlisted and proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of VFW Post 6790 of Welton, Ariz. and a member of The Ridge Church in Gerald.
He was preceded in death by parents, Kirby and Iva; daughters, Sharon Miko and Cynthia Schumer; son, Lindel Edmondson, Jr.; brothers, Carl Edmondson, Dale Edmondson and Jerry Edmondson; and sister, Frances Sizemore.
He is survived by wife, Marie Edmondson; daughter, Mary Stephens and husband Wil; brother, Earl Edmondson; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 13, at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville with Pastor Chuck Pierce officiating. He was buried with full military honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
