Lorene Delores Litton, 90, of Owensville, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Gasconade Manor in Owensville.
She was born Oct. 11, 1933, to Rev. Timothy L. and Zelma Rae (Beasley) Gibson in Owensville.
She was united in marriage to Bernard Litton, Aug. 21, 1954, at Bland. Their union lasted 68 years until his passing Dec. 16, 2022.
Lorene worked at Brown Shoe Company in Owensville from the age of 16 until their closing. She then worked at Lyn-Flex West for a short time until retirement.
Lorene enjoyed canning produce from their garden and embroidery. She also enjoyed reading and word search puzzles. Her Bible was beautiful in its well-worn and used condition. One of her favorite scriptures was Jeremiah 29:11-13. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by parents, Timothy and Zelma; sisters, Loretta Gibson and Maxine Schaefferkoetter; brother, Clinton Gibson; grandson, Timmy Wright; and great-grandson, Johnathan Callison.
Lorene is survived by daughter, Carol Wright and husband Dennis of Owensville; granddaughters, Bonnie Niederhelm and husband Mark, Billie Jo Seamon and husband Matt, and Deanna Callison and husband Terry; great-grandchildren, Rose, Bridgett, Cody, Meagan, Amanda, Jacob, Alana and Lauren; and great-great-grandchildren, Lillian, Melissa, Mason, Wesley, Macy, Travis, Klara, Natalie, Anna, Ava, Avery, Kiara and Lockland. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
At her request, no public service will be held. A private family graveside service will be held with burial at Countryside Memorial Gardens in Owensville.
Memorials may be given to Liberty Baptist Church.
