Richard A. Turner, Sr., 69, of Belle, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at his home surrounded by family.
He was born Dec. 27, 1954, to William “Bill” and Dorothy (Zimmerman) Turner in Hermann.
He was a 1974 graduate of Owensville High School. He was employed at Henniges Automotive Sealing in New Haven for over 19 years.
Richard was preceded in death by parents, William and Dorothy; infant daughter, Tiffany; sister, Jean Schmidt; and brother-in-law, Phillip Burns.
Richard is survived by children, Richard Alan Turner, Jr. and wife Traci of Bland, D.W. Scott Turner and wife Michelle of Owensville, Angela Neal and husband Jeffrey of Bland, Joshua Turner of Licking, and Theresa Turner and fiancé Dion Becker of Freeburg; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Donna Burns of Beaufort, Roger Turner and wife Mary of Drake, David Turner and wife Adel of Berger, Penny Turner of Belle, and Mark Schmidt and wife Felicia of Belle; and ex-wives and friends, Tammy Schelting and Shirley Eckhoff.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 15, at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Belle.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sassmann’s Chapel, Belle.
