ADAM SULLENTRUP and his wife, Michelle, walk into the Hermann High School Auditorium to a standing ovation Saturday morning. Sullentrup has undergone extensive rehabilitation since being shot in the head in March 2023. He underwent surgery in February to replace the piece of his skull which was removed during initial life-saving procedures. A memorial vigil at the Hermann Riverfront Park on Tuesday evening was held honoring the life of Hermann police Det. Sgt. Mason Griffith, who was killed one year ago Tuesday in the line of duty, and in tribute to patrolman Adam Sullentrup who survived a gunshot wound to the head. Sullentrup continues his recovery at home with family in Washington after treatment at a Colorado facility specializing in rehabilitation from traumatic brain injury.
