Marcella “Marce” Wieberg, 92, Westphalia passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024 surrounded by her family.

She was born April 17, 1932, to the late Frank and Marie (Pfitzner) Huhn in Westphalia. 

Growing up on the family farm and one of nine children, she learned the value of hard work and organization. 

After graduating from St. Joseph High School in Westphalia, Marce met the love of her life, Larry Wieberg. They were united in marriage Oct. 10, 1951 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia.  Marce and Larry made their home in Westphalia, raising their three daughters, Delores, Karen and Judy.

She worked  for International Shoe Factory  from 1953 to 1967. In 1967 Marce began working at the Missouri Dental Association until her retirement in 1980.  Never one to sit still, she enjoyed working part time in the cafeteria at Fatima High School until her “second retirement” in 1994. 

A lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marce was involved in St. Ann’s Sewing Circle and volunteered at the church picnics. 

In her leisure time, you could find her watching Cardinal baseball, doing quilt work or playing Ten Point Pitch with her family and friends.  Marce loved to travel and always looked forward to her annual trips with her daughters.

She was preceded in death by husband,  Larry; parents, Frank and Marie; sister, Mildred Rudruff and husband Linus; and brothers-in-law, Joe Fennewald, Marion Wasinger, John “Jack” Graessle and Richard Wagner.

Marce is survived by daughters; Delores Sinquefield and husband Jerry and Karen Wulff and husband Phil, all of Columbia and Judy Massman and husband Andy of Westphalia; grandchildren, Aaron Schwartze and wife Michelle, Rachel Kangas and husband Heikki, Audrey Burns and husband Paul and Nathan Schwartze and wife Lanette; step-grandson,  Christopher Massman and wife Melanie; eight great-grandchildren, Nathan, Emma and Keegan Schwartze, Viivi and Minna Kangas and Ivan, Felix and Baron Burns, step-great- grandchildren, Clara and Chloe Massman; and siblings, Clara Fennewald of Florissant, Lorene Wasinger of Ballwin, Cletus Huhn and wife Alice of Orlando, Fla., Mary Graessle of Westphalia,  Alice Faron and husband Joe of New Melle, Rita Wagner of Sunset Hills and Rose Ann Buehler and husband Gary of St. Charles.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 20, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia with Reverend Dylan Schrader officiating  Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions suggested to St. Joseph Catholic School or EWTN.
