Norbert G. Dill, Jr., 64, Rich Fountain, passed away Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024, at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia.
He was born Nov. 18, 1959, to the late Norbert Dill, Sr. and Florentine (Eisterhold) Dill in Jefferson City.
He was a 1977 graduate of Fatima High School and a 1981 graduate of Linn Tech.
Norbert was united in marriage to Christy Boehm May 22, 1982, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Taos.
He was employed at ABB for 37 years, retiring in 2015.
Norbert was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain and the Rich Fountain Knights of Columbus.
He loved being a farmer and had a passion for learning, planting things to see if they can grow, always coming up with plans and ideas to make things better, and talking on the phone with his buddies.
Norbert enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by wife of 42 years, Christy; daughters, Tracy Dill of Rich Fountain and Katrina Falter and husband Eric of Westphalia; grandchildren, Jameson and Allison Falter; brothers, David Dill and wife Lona of Linn, and Gregory Dill of Rich Fountain; sister, Christine C. Fick and husband Kenneth of Rich Fountain; mother-in-law, Morina Boehm of Taos, brothers-in-law, Clarence “Butch” Boehm, Jr. and wife Roseann and Clinton “Joe” Boehm and wife Beth of Rolla; sister-in-law, Cheryl Boes and husband Gary of Rich Fountain; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, Aug. 19, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. William Debo officiating. Interment was in the Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery.
