Wheeler Road is again closed to all traffic at the west end after heavy rains washed out two culverts under the road’s surface. Local traffic will be detoured from U.S. Highway 50 to Old Highway 50 to Tegeler Road to access Wheeler Road. Repairs are estimated to take approximately 60 days.

Caleb Tucker, a communications technician with A&W Communications (left) and Justin Vaughn with AT&T listen Thursday morning as a test 911 call comes in to the Gasconade County E-911 Center in Rosebud. After several test calls of the NG911 system throughout the morning, Tucker was able to adjust the system so calls were being routed into the Rosebud facility properly from known cell phone service providers. Tests from area land line telephones were also successfully conducted. All four dispatching stations were in operation with the new system by early afternoon.
