Amy K. Kiso, 53, of Bland, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at her residence.

She was born Jan. 31, 1971, in Jefferson City, a daughter to the late John Lyle Kiso and Bonnie (Walling) Kiso who survives of Jefferson City.

Amy was a 1989 graduate of Belle High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Northwest Missouri State; attended Lincoln University of Missouri in Jefferson City; and received her masters from Columbia College in 2017. She was very active with the Belle school system, serving on the school board for over a decade, writing grants, and educating schools on safety. She was very community minded and loved her hometown.

Amy’s hobbies included gardening, watching movies or playing board games with her children and watching anything with Tom Selleck in it. She enjoyed writing and had a natural talent for public speaking. She had a good sense of humor with a bit of sarcasm and was very outspoken when she wanted to be. Amy liked to cook. Her homemade pizza and cookies always made her kids happy. Her number one priority was taking care of and spending time with her family. She will be missed greatly by them and those that knew and loved her.

Amy was preceded in death by father, John.

Amy is survived by mother, Bonnie; her greatest accomplishments, her children, Braxton Bledsoe, Garrett Bledsoe, Zach Bledsoe and Alaina Hope Bledsoe all of Bland; granddaughter, Oaklynn; siblings, Lorie Kiso of Eldon, Mary Afentakis and husband Louie of Fla., John Kiso and wife Tracy of St. Louis, and Chris Kiso and wife Dawn of Bland; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Funeral services for Amy were held Monday June 24, at Sassmann’s Chapel in Belle. Interment was in the College Hill Cemetery.
